Frequently Asked

Fair questions, straight answers.

Everything people ask before downloading — especially people who've been burned by fitness-app pricing before.

Is the free version actually usable, or is it a demo?

It's the whole core app: unlimited exercises, routines, sessions, the rest timer, plate calculator, personal bests, progress charts, manual backup, and CSV export. There's no trial period and no feature that stops working after two weeks. Pro adds extras; it never unlocks basics.

Why is Pro a one-time purchase when everyone else subscribes?

Because a workout log doesn't cost us anything per month to run — there's no server. Subscriptions make sense for services with ongoing costs; charging one for local software didn't sit right with us. You pay $24.99 once and Pro is yours on every iPhone you ever own.

Then what's the Supporter subscription?

A tip jar with perks. $2.99/month gets you 15 accent colors and alternate app icons, and it funds ongoing development. It is deliberately, entirely cosmetic — if you cancel, you lose the colors, never your data or features.

Where does my data live?

On your iPhone. There is no Lift Logger server and no account. Backups go to your iCloud Drive, under your Apple ID, where we couldn't read them even if we wanted to. The full privacy page spells it out.

Can I bring my history from another workout app?

Yes — Pro includes a guided migration wizard that imports CSV exports from other trackers, so you keep years of history instead of starting from zero.

Does the rest timer work if my phone is locked?

Yes. A Live Activity shows the countdown on your Lock Screen, and a notification rings when time's up — pocket your phone between sets and it still gets your attention.

Does it sync with Apple Health?

With Pro, yes — finished sessions can be written to Apple Health as workouts, automatically. It's opt-in, and editing a session in Lift Logger updates the Health entry too.

Is there an Android or Apple Watch version?

Not today. Lift Logger is deliberately iPhone-only so every screen can be built for one platform, properly. We'd love to launch an Apple Watch version, but right now we'd rather do one thing well than more things adequately.

What accessibility features are supported?

VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text (Dynamic Type), Dark Interface, Differentiate Without Color Alone, Sufficient Contrast, and Reduced Motion. Details on the accessibility page.

I have a problem or a feature request. Who do I talk to?

Email hellosam@liftlogger.fitness. It's read by the person who built the app, not a ticket-deflection bot.
